Kenneth Wapnick, Ph.D.

The discussions in these two programs from 2012 reflect parallel themes, and so they are presented as a two-part set. The “kind in heart” are those who have chosen the teacher of peace in their minds. Feeling Jesus’ love within them they learn to be kind and gentle to everyone and everything without exception. Thus are perception and behavior unified by the peace of God in our minds. The discussion focuses on the process involved in attaining this state, and emphasizes the importance of accepting our identity as decision-making minds.

The seminar is based on the closing paragraph of Lesson 160, where, in effect, Jesus exhorts his students to recognize that learning his course means choosing between Christ’s vision and the ego’s judgment. Vision entails seeing everyone as the same, foregoing the attacking distinctions that are the core of the ego’s thought system of specialness. This healed perception reflects Jesus’ teaching of forgiveness, and he asks us to let this be our daily focus as we journey home with him, having learned that by transcending the ego’s emphasis on differences, we remember our inherent togetherness as God’s one Son.

Not one does Christ forget. Not one He fails to give you to remember, that your home may be complete and perfect as it was established. He has not forgotten you. But you will not remember Him until you look on all as He does. Who denies his brother is denying Him, and thus refusing to accept the gift of sight by which his Self is clearly recognized, his home remembered and salvation come.
