This 2003 workshop contrasts the ego’s and the Holy Spirit’s purposes for the body. The ego uses the body to reinforce its thought system of separation and guilt, with particular emphasis placed on the special relationship. From the perspective of A Course in Miracles, the biblical view of the body falls into that category. The Holy Spirit, on the other hand, uses the body as a means of communication, undoing the ego’s thought system through forgiveness. This is expressed in the holy relationship, which occurs only in the mind—the seat both of the mistaken choice for the ego (the temple of separation) and the right-minded choice for the Holy Spirit (the temple of forgiveness).
The holiest of all the spots on earth is where an ancient hatred has become a present love.
