The first part of this workshop consists of a fable about two boats. The ego’s boat of separation, judgment, and specialness takes us away from our home of love, the perfect unity of God and His Son. The return is accomplished by accepting Jesus’ invitation to come to his boat of forgiveness, taking the one person with us whom we need to forgive. Readings that include “From Darkness to Light” and “The Inheritance of God’s Son” teach us that our return home consists of the shift from the ego’s belief in separate interests to the Holy Spirit’s correction of shared interests. Thus we come to learn that we are all the same; we share the insanity of the ego as well as the Holy Spirit’s sane correction. By denying the ego’s perception of differences we are able finally to remember our common Identity as God’s one Son, and return Home.
