Kenneth Wapnick, Ph.D.

Framed by two Easter poems of Helen Schucman—“Easter” and “The Resurrection and the Life”—the workshop discusses the meaning of the resurrection, defined in A Course in Miracles as awakening from the dream of death. This opening of our eyes to the truth, therefore, has nothing to do with anything physical, but only with the mind’s decision to accept the Atonement for itself. The talk contrasts the mutually exclusive views of Jesus as found in the biblical or traditional view and in the Course. The former makes the ego’s world of separation and sin real, while the latter gently exposes the lies inherent in this thought system of sacrifice and death. (Workshop originally titled: “Easter: ‘I Did Not Die.’”)

Teach not that I died in vain. Teach rather that I did not die by demonstrating that I live in you.
