Kenneth Wapnick, Ph.D.
Using the example and symbolism of music—specifically Beethoven, Schubert, and Wagner—this August 2003 workshop develops the theme of listening, that we might hear in others and ourselves the inner melody or song (melos) that sings both of Heaven and our need to return. The teaching in this workshop thus goes to the heart of what it means to be a student of A Course in Miracles: learning to hear the “music behind the notes,” which would then lead us to be more kind and patient with each other, and therefore more genuinely helpful. Listening with Jesus prevents judgment and allows our healing heart to touch another's pain with “the gentle hands of forgiveness.” Thus are we healed together and as one, learning that the melody of love is our Self.
