Kenneth Wapnick, Ph.D.

Francis Thompson’s poem “The Kingdom of God” provides the setting for this presentation of the powerfully transforming effect of our daily practice of forgiveness. If we would not be among the “estranged faces, / That miss the many-splendored thing,” we must open our hearts to allow the mindset of A Course in Miracles to replace the narrow, selfish focus of the ego thought system we have chosen. A discussion of some of Helen Schucman’s visions highlights the importance of integrating the Course’s message of love’s all-inclusiveness so that it is reflected in our daily experience. The love of Jesus within us then is no longer an abstract principle and therefore extends through us as we recognize Christ’s innocence in everyone. This is the “many-splendored thing.”.

He recognizes only what God loves, and in the holy light of what He sees do all the ego’s dreams of what you are vanish before the splendor He beholds.
